Lee Acton is the “LA” in LA Building – a company he started around 25 years ago as a sole trader.
Prior to going it alone Lee – a qualified carpenter – worked for many years in the construction industry as a sub-contractor. He even worked on the site of major theme parks such as Chessington, Alton Towers and Thorpe Park, building rollercoasters.
He then got plenty of project management experience as a foreman and site manager for a large building contracting firm, and eventually decided to put his expertise and experience to work for his own account.
Since starting LA Building it’s been a success story all the way. From small beginnings, Lee now works with his brother and stepfather, and a multi-talented workforce that allow him to take on a wide variety of building and property maintenance projects.
LA Building takes on clients across a wide area. Based in Lee’s home village of Urchfont in the beautiful Vale of Pewsey, just south of Devizes, the company works in and around Melksham, Marlborough, Salisbury, Andover and all the country areas in-between.
In Urchfont Lee and his family are well-known in the community, where they enjoy getting involved in charitable work, local sports clubs and events like the Urchfont Scarecrow Festival.
